Six Word Saturday…The Day After

Welcome to Six Word Saturday…The Day After–Christmas, that is!  I missed playing last week, so I was anxious to get back on line with my “Six Word” friends!  Hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas, and will continue on to have a Happy New Year.  Now for my six words:

Help!  I’m buried under Christmas rubbish!

Christmas has come and gone, along with the rest of the family, except for me and hubby!  All that remains of our lovely holiday get-together is a pile of garbage and mess that seems to be a mile high!  Empty boxes, trash bags full of paper, tissue, and bows!  Trash bags full of paper plates, cups, tin foil, and napkins…that’s what I am dealing with today!  Oh the joys of the day after Christmas…

Don’t forget to leave a comment!  It will automatically enter you in my ten dollar Wal-mart gift card giveaway!  Winner to be chosen on New Year’s Day!  Good luck!   Kathy

  1. yep my house too!

  2. I would help you if I could out from under my own pile of rubbish. Next comes taking all the decorations down. Fun, fun, fun!

  3. Yep, we’re digging out too. My hubby was wondering how long it takes the men who pick up our trash after Christmas to complete their route! Everyone’s trash cans are overflowing in our neighborhood. 🙂 Good luck on your house cleaning!

  4. Kathy, Wanted to stop by and say Hi. I hope you are having a great day. Love you my friend, Audrey

  5. I hope you can find a way to come up for air soon.
Happy Boxing Day and Happy SWS.

  6. Piles of rubbish seem to be the thing for the day (s) after Christmas. I am sending my company home with boxes. Yes, boxes. Everything they gave us came in a box, and the must take it home. Everything we gave them came in a box, and they must take them home. Now if I can find a taker for the bags of paper. How about you?

    • Trudy, great idea to send the boxes home with the company! I’ll have to remember that one for future use! Have a Happy New Year! Blessings, Kathy

  7. ~we were only home for the morning then off we went again…so what awaits us today is a home in disarray…i think an explosion may have happened…tis the season, i guess. brightest blessings~

  8. Sometimes my anxiety manifests itself in a need for things to NOT be out of order. This is both a blessing and a curse on Christmas day. It would be nice to relax. But it was also nice NOT to have dirty dishes and piles of trash around the day after. Hope you’ve dug out by now!

    Thanks for playing 6WS!
