Six Word Saturday…February 26

This Saturday’s six words are:

Our reminder that spring is near!

I’d hoped to get a photo of this tulip tree in the yard before it began to shed, but a sudden rain shower spoiled my plans.  It’s okay, we needed the rain worse than I needed the “perfect photo”!  For now, this tree is the only thing blooming in or around our yard.  However, I know it’s only a matter of time before it has some company!  Yay for spring!

  1. How beautiful! Nothing seems to be blooming here yet but I think it will happen very soon!

    Thanks for playing 6WS!

  2. WOW, what a beautiful tree, I have never seen one before so shedding or not that is an awesome site in the spring! Do they smell wonderful too?

  3. Our reminder was a good 12+ inches of snow that got dumped on us yesterday 😦

    Enjoy your warmth though!!
    Happy 6WS,
    ~Autumn

  4. Lovely tree. Spring is moving along here too with some early blossom showing signs of thinking of appearing and daffodils well on their way.

  5. Love those Japanese magnolias. They are blooming here , too. Rain here, too, but it was my daffodils that were lying on the ground the next morning. Some of them have perked back up, though, so am still enjoying them. Thanks for posting another reminder!

  6. I don’t know if I have ever seen a Tulip Tree! It is pretty. Thanks for the encouragement that Spring is almost here!

    Happy Saturday Kathy!

  7. Hi Kathy, Nice to meet you! Thanks for the comment over on my blog! Your Tulip tree is beautiful..spring must be on it’s way! 🙂

  8. I didn’t know there was such a thing as a tulip tree. Learn something new every day, don’t we?

As for my pictures, yes I take some bad photos, all the time. But some bad photos can be fixed, aka cropping, since that’s really the only edit I do on my pictures. Once in a while I tweak them a bit, but usually it’s just cropping. I’m obsessed with things looking center, what can I say, I have little bit of perfectionism running through me.

Regarding my comments, I learned a while back ago to be me when I comment, which sometimes I wonder if people think, uh where’d this person come from. But that’s okay, I’d rather say something about what your post reminds me of or a silly story, etc. than leave a compliment that might just be fluff. Uh, I hope that makes sense?

  9. Lucky lucky you! So pretty! On the bright side, it’s not snowing here today so I’ll take it : )

  10. Oh I wish I had that close to me for a reminder! We got more snow today again…boo hoo…and it’s 1 degree outside at 5:50 pm….not a good sign of spring here…but your photo is super lovely!

  11. Lovely. I’ll think of it tomorrow, while I’m out on the ice, fishing.
