It’s Monday again, and that means it’s time to join Java for “Meet Me On Monday”. I love participating, and getting to know my blogging friends a little better!
I was both surprised and thrilled when I clicked over to Java’s to get this week’s questions–and saw my button as the featured blog for this week! Thank you so much for the spotlight, Java!
Here are Java’s five questions for this week:
1. What jewelry do you wear 24/7? In my younger years I wore my engagement ring, then later, my wedding rings, 24/7. Speaking of wedding rings–those are our actual wedding rings on my blog button! These days I rarely wear rings because sometimes my hands swell without warning due to arthritis. My ears are pierced, but all earrings make my ears swell and itch, too. So much for wearing jewelry…I usually just don’t wear any!
2. Do you twirl your spaghetti or cut it? I cut my spaghetti with a fork. I’ve never been very good at twirling anything! 
3. How many siblings do you have? I only have one brother, David, who is eight and a half years older me. I’ve often wondered what my parents were thinking when spacing their children!
4. Were you named after anyone? Yes, my middle name–Carlene– came from my dad’s first name, Carl. I used to hate my middle name while I was growing up, but these days…not so much.
5. Coke or Pepsi? I will drink either one, but I prefer Coke. My favorite Pepsi product is Dr. Pepper!

I have a friend who’s middle daughter’s name is Carlene. I LOVE that name!
Oh, and YES! It was hot here on Saturday and will be from now until November. Spring sprung here about 5 weeks ago…IT”S HOT!

I try to twirl my spaghetti, but usually just end up biting it off instead.
My wedding ring is the only thing I wear a lot but I don’t wear it over night because if I do my finger swells and makes it hard to get off. If I take it off then I have no problems putting it on in the morning. I’m not sure why that is.
I have no true siblings, only a step-brother and a step-sister who are both 7 and 8 years older than me.
When I was a teenager in Michigan, we would travel to Missouri to visit grandparents. We would bring back cases of Dr. Pepper because we didn’t have it in the north. We would bring Vernors to the southerners because they couldn’t get it in their location. Dr. Pepper was such a treat.
I were my wedding band and earrings all the time.
I don’t drink cola anymore. I have a brother & a sister, they are older and we are all 2 1/1 years apart. My middle name is after my aunt. Enjoyed reading your answers. Have a great week.
I usually only wear my necklace. Once in a while I’ll feel like wearing my earrings and my bracelet. That’s all I have left. My house was broken into 5-6 years ago and all of my jewelry was taken. The only things I have left are what I was wearing that day. 😦
As far as drinks…my favorite is Dr. Pepper too. They now make it with a kiss of cherry and it is d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s !!! ;-P
The only piece of jewelry that I wear 24/7 is my necklace. Once in a while I’ll wear my earrings and my bracelet. That’s all I have left since my house was broken into 5-6 years ago and all my jewelry was taken. All I have is what I was wearing that day. What hurts the most is that the few pieces of my parent’s jewelry that I had was taken too. I really miss having no rings to wear. 😦
As far as soft drinks…Dr. Pepper is my favorite too. They also make a flavor of Dr. Pepper with a kiss of cherry and it is d-e-l-i-c-i-o-u-s !!! ;-P
