Six Word Saturday…Mother’s Day Edition

Share your most memorable Mother’s Day!

My most memorable Mother’s Day was in 1982, when I went to the hospital to become a mother!  Our second child didn’t make his appearance until four hours and seven minutes after Mother’s Day officially ended, but he did manage to make it a Mother’s Day I will never forget!

Happy Mother’s Day!

  1. Great, Kathy. I like your Mother’s day tale. 🙂 You won’t forget that birthday and he shouldn’t forget his Mother’s Day!
We have a grand-daughter, now age 25 and getting married in September. Her May 8th BDay often falls on Mother’s Day. Makes it very enjoyable for Mom, I’m not sure about the kid.
Mrs. Jim’s BDay is New Years Day–that can be the pits. A lot depends on who is playing college football. One time her team and my team played each other in a bowl game. Most times there can only be one winner. Plus it is only a week after Christmas.

  2. Well that was a memorable Mother’s Day and day after Mother’s Day!

I hope this Mother’s Day will be a special one for you too Kathy!

My most memorable one – my three year old broke his collarbone on Mothers Day (19 years ago) and I spent the entire day in the emergency department. It truly reinforced the reality of Mothers Day!

Hope you have a fantastic Mothers Day

    Cheers, Fi

i guess that cancelled the dinner plans that day…

  9. Funny how wonderful those memories are…I have 3 of those most delightful times to remember…that’s why on their birthdays I’m possibly happier then they are!
