1. What is was the last piece of candy that you ate? I ate a snack-sized Snickers bar on Sunday. Those things sure are small!
2. Do you
“read” in the bathroom? No, I don’t stay in there long enough!
3. I can’t stand when someone whistles. My husband is a “whistler”, and it drives me crazy. He’ll pick a tune, and whistle it over, and over, and over…then the song gets stuck in my head! One of his all-time favorite tunes is “Love Potion Number 9”.
4. Do you do daily, weekly or monthly grocery
shopping? I do the bulk of my grocery shopping every two weeks, then I pick up things like fresh milk, bread, and produce in between major shopping trips. Speaking of that–I am almost out of everything!
I’m still having stomach issues. After changing stomach acid meds 6 weeks ago, too many side effects caused the doctor to change me back to my original medication on Friday. Due to stomach ulcer issues, I am now required to take “double dosage”of the meds. Our insurance doesn’t cover the cost of this particular medication, and it costs 86 dollars for a fifteen day supply–or 174 dollars per month! Ouch! I changed meds in the first place, in an effort to save money, now I’m sicker–and have to pay twice as much!
Stomach issues have also required me to stop taking Nsaids. I am soooo miserable because of this. A different set of joints hurts each day. On the positive side, I can use the money that I save on Nsaids to help pay that 174 dollars for stomach acid meds! At least I don’t look or feel nine months pregnant anymore…I even had the “labor pains”! Ha Ha
Hubby came down with a summer cold on Thursday evening. He doesn’t handle being sick very well, especially with a head cold. If I catch his cold, I will not be very happy either! We made a pitiful pair all weekend.
We had a hail storm on Friday night, complete with marble-sized hail and a lot of thunder and lightning. We lost our satellite signal in the middle of a very interesting episode of “Dateline”, now I’ll never know the ending…On the positive side, we didn’t suffer any serious damage from the storm, and we got some much-needed rain, too.
I managed to pick up a virus (or two) on my desk top computer. I suspect that I got it from a coupon sight. You know, it takes a mean person to plant a virus on a coupon sight! Fortunately, our oldest son came and restored the computer for me over the weekend. He was my “little spot of sunshine” in an otherwise dismal weekend…Thanks, Brett!
I finally managed to get my “patriotic tree” decorated on Sunday evening. A little late for Memorial Day, but still in time for July Fourth. It was one of the few things that I accomplished all weekend.
Jennifer and Brad had one last shower on Saturday. It was primarily for her family, most of whom live out-of-town. I didn’t attend. In fact, I didn’t leave the house the entire weekend. I can’t believe it’s less than three weeks until the wedding!
I hope there is some major healing going on with my body, between now and June 25th. I sure could use a miracle right about now, and would definately appreciate your prayers.
Happy Monday, everybody!
