1. It’s National Bike Week…do you own a bicycle? When did you last ride a bike?
Yes, I do own a bicycle. I received it as a Christmas gift about 3 years ago, but it’s been a little over a year since I was last able to ride it. When one can barely stand to wear any kind of clothing on the lower half of one’s body, riding a bicycle just isn’t an option! These days, I can wear clothing again, without being in so much misery. Perhaps I’ll get to ride my bike again–eventually.
2. What’s something you learned in school that wasn’t part of the curriculum?
I learned – the most popular people in school are not always the most successful in life.
3. What’s a food you’ve never tried, but want to try? What’s a food you’ve tried and will never try again?
I’m not very adventurous when it comes to eating. Believe it or not, I can’t think of anything new I’d like to try. I tried my aunt’s three-bean salad once, and I’ll never eat it again–but I lied and told her it was delicious 😦
4. Have you been more demanding on yourself lately or less? Why? Do you think that’s a good trend?
Our garden is forcing me to be pretty demanding on myself lately. It’s probably a good trend since it forces me to get off my butt and get moving! There’s no better “workout” than bending and squatting while pulling weeds! Then there’s the upper body workout I get from using that hula hoe, too 🙂 Most of the time I’m in the garden by 7:30 each morning.
5. Who is your favorite book, movie, or TV show villain?
My current favorite TV show villain is Victoria Grayson on the television show “Revenge”. The woman is rotten to the core, and will stop at nothing to get what she desires. When I think of my favorite tv villain of all-time, JR Ewing comes to mind… Who could forget “Dallas”?!
6. How concerned are you about identity theft?
I’m very concerned about identity theft, who wouldn’t be? Even in our little tiny town, I know a couple of people who’ve had it happen to them. I was thrilled when I ordered a new television, back in December, and the credit card company actually called and emailed us to verify the transaction. It’s nice to know someone is looking out for us.
7. I saw this last question on Dawn’s blog a couple of week’s ago and asked if I could share. Everybody hop over and say hi, but first answer this…would you rather have an ordinary home in an extraordinary place or an extraordinary home in an ordinary place?
At first, I couldn’t decide on an answer for this question, so I asked my husband his opinion. He quickly answered, “I’d rather have an ordinary home in an extraordinary place, so, hopefully, I could sell it and get my money back!” That’s my Ed! After giving the question some thought, I decided I’d rather have an ordinary home in an extraordinary place, too, and I believe I already have that. There’s no place I’d rather live than where I am today–surrounded by family!
Random:
Allow me to present to you, “my garden cat”. This cat is under my feet every step I take while working in our garden every single day! No matter how hard I try to sneak away into the garden without him, he always finds me! He’s shown here, resting beside my container garden. He looks tired, doesn’t he? Being a “garden cat” is hard work! Being the owner of a “garden cat” is sometimes exasperating…
I’m envious of your garden. I haven’t planted a single pot yet (we mostly do pots due to the critters here) because the weather hasn’t really been great. I was going to put some things out last weekend but it rained Sat and Sunday. We have plans with family this weekend so June 1st it will happen. Your cat looks pretty happy there : )
So true about the most popular people not being the most successful. Don’t our pets live such difficult lives? Your cat looks like he’s really roughing it! Enjoy your day.
LOVE your garden…I have to wait one more year to plant at our house – to much construction going on right now to plant anything 🙂 I was well out of school before I learned the lesson about popular people and how life turns out for them…I’ve never seen revenge, but I hear it’s good! Happy Wednesday!
Love yor garden, ours still is not planted. We are still getting frost warnings so nothing in the ground yet. Love the gardencat!
That is true about the most popular in school. That is such great exercise in your garden….way to go being out there at 7:30 AM! I’m sitting on my butt reading blogs at that time of day. Good choice with Victoria, she is quite the villain. Love your garden buddy.
Great post! You gave me a great idea too! I like those tubs for planting. Why didn’t I think of that? I have at least three in the shed! Thanks.
